JLPT N5
Pattern
Noun A + の + Noun B
How it works
の links two nouns so that the first one describes the second: owner, origin, place, material or type. 日本のラーメン is “ramen from Japan”, わたしの本 is “my book”. The main noun always comes last.
Examples
- これは わたしの かさです。This is my umbrella.
- 日本の ラーメンは おいしいです。Japanese ramen is delicious.
- ギターの れんしゅうを します。I practise the guitar.
