Sentence + よ
How it works
よ at the end of a sentence tells the listener something they don't know yet, or stresses a point: “you know / I'm telling you”. Overusing it can sound pushy.
Examples
- あの 店は 安いですよ。That shop is cheap, you know.
- あした テストが ありますよ。There's a test tomorrow!
