How it works
まで marks an end point in time or space: “until/up to”. It often pairs with から: 9時から5時まで. ここまで means “up to this point”.
Examples
- 駅まで あるいて 行きます。I walk to the station.
- 9時から 5時まで はたらきます。I work from 9 to 5.
