い-adjective: ～い → ～くなかった
How it works
For “was not” with an い-adjective, replace い with くなかった: たかい → たかくなかった. Polite: たかくなかったです or たかくありませんでした. いい becomes よくなかった.
Examples
- えいがは おもしろくなかった。The movie wasn't interesting.
- きのうは さむくなかったです。It wasn't cold yesterday.
