Verb + ように祈る

How it works

ように祈る (いのる) expresses a prayer or heartfelt hope: 合格するように祈っています (I'm praying you'll pass). ますように alone is a common wish: 合格できますように.

Examples

  • しけんに 合格するように 祈って います。I'm praying you'll pass the exam.
  • 早く 元気に なりますように。I hope you get well soon.
