How it works

予定だ (よていだ) states a fixed plan or schedule: 来月日本へ行く予定です. It sounds more definite than つもりだ, which is about personal intention.

Examples

  • 来月 日本へ 行く 予定です。I'm scheduled to go to Japan next month.
  • 会議は 3時からの 予定です。The meeting is scheduled to start at 3.
