Plain form + かどうか

How it works

かどうか embeds a yes/no question in a sentence: “whether or not”. 来るかどうかわからない means “I don't know whether they'll come”.

Examples

  • あした 行けるか どうか わかりません。I don't know whether I can go tomorrow.
  • おいしいか どうか 食べて みて ください。Try it and see if it's good.
