と (Conditional)
If, When, Whenever, And, [Conditional]
JLPT N4
Pattern
Plain form (non-past) + と、result
How it works
と as a conditional means “whenever / if A, then B naturally follows”. It suits natural results, habits and directions: 右にまがると駅があります. The result can't be a request or intention.
