Noun / な-adj + になる、い-adj ～くなる
How it works
なる means “become”. Nouns and な-adjectives take に (先生になる, 上手になる); い-adjectives change い to く (さむくなる).
Examples
- 日本語が 上手に なりました。Your Japanese has got good.
- だんだん さむく なりますね。It's gradually getting colder.
