い-Adjective + Noun (Describing a noun)
Describing a noun
JLPT N5
Pattern
い-adjective + Noun
How it works
An い-adjective goes straight before a noun with no extra particle: あかい りんご (a red apple). Its past and negative forms can also describe a noun: たかくない 店 (a shop that isn't expensive).
Examples
- あかい りんごを 買いました。I bought a red apple.
- 大きい 犬が います。There's a big dog.
