Which (of three or more), What (kind)
JLPT N5
Pattern
どの + Noun
How it works
どの means “which” and must come before a noun: どの本ですか. Without a noun, use どれ. It completes the set この・その・あの・どの.
Examples
- どの 電車に 乗りますか。Which train will you take?
- 田中さんは どの 人ですか。Which person is Mr. Tanaka?
