Adjective (て-form) + B

How it works

The て-form of an adjective links it to what follows, adding another description or giving a light reason: 大きくて重い (big and heavy), 暑くてねられない (too hot to sleep). い-adjectives use ～くて, な-adjectives use ～で.

Examples

  • この かばんは 大きくて おもいです。This bag is big and heavy.
  • あの 人は しんせつで おもしろいです。That person is kind and funny.
