Verb (た-form) + ところだ
How it works
た-form + ところだ means “have just done”: the action finished moments ago. It's about timing right now; たばかり can cover a longer stretch of time.
Examples
- ちょうど 今 食べた ところなんです。I've literally just eaten.
- 今 駅に 着いた ところです。I've just arrived at the station.
