Plain form + し、Plain form + し

How it works

し lists reasons or features: “and what's more”. It suggests there may be more reasons: 安いし、おいしいし、よく行きます. A single し can also give one of several reasons.

Examples

  • あの 店は 安いし、おいしいし、よく 行きます。That place is cheap and tasty, so I go often.
  • 風が 強いし、寒そうだから、出かけたくない。It's windy and looks cold, so I don't want to go out.
