Pattern

い-adj ～く + Verb / な-adj ～に + Verb

How it works

Adjectives become adverbs to describe how something is done: い-adjectives change い to く (はやく走る), な-adjectives add に (しずかに話す).

Examples

もう少しゆっくり話してください。Please speak a bit more slowly.
としょかんではしずかにしてください。Please be quiet in the library.
