Noun + のように / のような

How it works

Noun + のように (before verbs or adjectives) and のような (before nouns) compare or give an example: 花のようにきれい (beautiful like a flower), 東京のような大きい町 (a big city like Tokyo).

Examples

  • かのじょは 花の ように きれいです。She is as beautiful as a flower.
  • 東京の ような 大きい 町に すみたい。I want to live in a big city like Tokyo.
