その + Noun

How it works

その means “that” before a noun: something near the listener or just mentioned. その カメラ is “that camera (you have)”. Without a noun, use それ.

Examples

  • その カメラは いいですね。That camera is nice.
  • その 人は だれですか。Who is that person?
