る-verb → ～ない / ～ません
How it works
To make a る-verb negative, drop る and add ない (plain) or ません (polite): 食べる → 食べない / 食べません.
Examples
- わたしは 肉を 食べない。I don't eat meat.
- あまり テレビを 見ません。I don't watch much TV.
