Adjective stem + さ
How it works
Replacing an adjective's い (or な) with さ makes a noun for its degree: 高い → 高さ (height), 大切 → 大切さ (importance).
Examples
- この 山の 高さは どのぐらいですか。How high is this mountain?
- 友だちの 大切さが わかりました。I realised how important friends are.
