How it works
まで can mean “even”: it adds something surprising or extreme to a list. 子どもまで知っている means “even children know it”.
Examples
- 子どもまで その 歌を 知って います。Even children know that song.
- 雨だけでなく、風まで 強く なった。Not only rain, but even the wind got stronger.
