How it works
だけでなく means “not only A but also B”. B usually takes も: 英語だけでなく日本語も話せる.
Examples
- かれは 英語だけで なく、日本語も 話せます。He speaks not only English but also Japanese.
- この 店は 安いだけで なく、おいしい。This place isn't just cheap, it's tasty too.
