Noun + から

How it works

から after a noun marks a starting point in time or space: “from”. It often pairs with まで (until/to). It also marks the source of something received: 友だちからもらう.

Examples

  • じゅぎょうは 9時から です。Class starts at 9.
  • わたしは 中国から 来ました。I came from China.
