お + Verb (ます-stem) + する

How it works

お + ます-stem + する is humble language: the speaker humbly does something for a superior. お持ちします means “let me carry it for you”. More humble still: お～いたします.

Examples

  • にもつを お持ち します。Let me carry your bags.
  • あとで お電話 します。I'll call you later.
