How it works
の次に means “next after / second to” in a ranking: すしの次にラーメンが好き (after sushi, I like ramen best).
Examples
- すしの 次に ラーメンが 好きです。After sushi, ramen is my favourite.
- 東京の 次に 大きい 町は どこですか。What's the biggest city after Tokyo?
