Verb (ます-stem) + なおす
How it works
ます-stem + なおす means “do again, redo”, usually to fix or improve something: 書きなおす (rewrite), 考えなおす (reconsider).
Examples
- まちがえたので、書きなおしました。I made a mistake, so I rewrote it.
- もう 一度 考えなおして ください。Please think it over again.
