How it works

場合は (ばあいは) means “in the case of / if”. It is common in instructions and rules: 雨の場合は中止です (cancelled in case of rain).

Examples

雨の場合は、しあいは中止です。In case of rain, the match is cancelled.
おくれる場合は、電話してください。If you're going to be late, please call.
